What is a Tune-Up?
A tune-up is a routine maintenance service that focuses on inspecting and replacing key engine components to ensure optimal performance. Over time, parts like spark plugs, filters, and belts wear out, which can impact your car's efficiency and reliability. A tune-up addresses these issues and restores your vehicle's smooth operation.
The engine tune-ups are part of a complete preventative maintenance program. The vehicle should be brought in to the shop for tune-ups periodically. During these tune-ups, we change the spark plugs or clean them after a certain number of miles. For older models, tune-ups might include checking the distributor cap and rotor. These vehicles might still require tune-ups from a mechanic with knowledge of carburetor systems, for example.
